About Look if its Local
Lookifitslocal was established because we had a lot of stuff we wanted to sell, and (unfortunately) a lot of stuff we wanted to buy! We are a great fan of the big internet auction sites but as a seller we were getting frustrated by the listing fees and the charges to sell stuff and, as a buyer, the increasing postage costs to get the new purchase.
All of a sudden the bargain you bought wasn't such a bargain anymore!
There had to be a better way to buy and sell stuff that was local, the kind of stuff that you would find in the local newspaper classifieds, but a way with many of the functions available, such as uploading pictures, on internet auction sites making the whole process easier and above all cheaper.
To Sell
It costs 85 pence per advert.
(For a standard advert you can place your advert as 'featured' or have other options to ensure it stands out if required, for which there are additional charges. These additional charges are not compulsory).
To Buy
It's FREE to register on Lookifitslocal and FREE to buy stuff. Contact the seller direct by phone or email - and Lookifitslocal!
What can I sell?
Pretty much anything you would be happy to sell within your local newspaper or local car boot - so that excludes the obvious like drugs, guns, knives and adult stuff. If you are after a gimp mask, for instance you are on the wrong site.
Items that are offered for sale can be new or used but in either case must be in good condition.
Can I haggle?
With us no. It's 85p for a standard listing. But once you have seen something on the Lookifitslocal website, contacted the owner and gone to view the item, you are welcome to haggle, good luck.
Data Protection
LookifitsLocal will not sell or distribute any personal data held. LookifitsLocal will NEVER see bank details from sellers accounts, as transactions will be carried out through Paypal. LookifitsLocal staff will NEVER ask for your bank or personal details through direct email and any such communication should be regarded as SPAM and treated with the contempt it deserves.
Small Print: Look if its local Liabilities
Lookifitslocal will remove any item it deems as unsuitable, without notice, without refund. Lookifitslocal is not liable for any claims or errors made by third parties within an advert or listing. Lookifitslocal does not endorse any listing or service offered within the site.
A listing does not guarantee a sale and thus should be taken into consideration when the advert is placed. Lookifitslocal reserves the right to alter its listing fees without prior notice and, or duration of listing.
LAW AND JURISDICTION Lookifitslocal shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with English law and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
